Meet the Staff

Tennille

Scheduling Coordinator

For almost a decade, Tennille has worked at our front desk as a scheduling coordinator. Her smiling face is one of the first you will see when you arrive for your appointment. She loves the opportunity to meet and get to know each patient and their families. Tennille loves Starbucks coffee. In her spare time, she enjoys scrap booking, photography, and spending time with her family. Tennille is married and has a young son.

Denice

Scheduling Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant

Denice joined the office in 2008 as an orthodontic assistant. She has over thirty years of orthodontic experience all over the country and is happy to be back in the Okanagan. Denice has made the move to the front desk and loves to greet each person that comes in the door with her positive energy. She lives with her son and her husband. She enjoys all aspects of the Okanagan lifestyle.

Genevieve

Treatment Coordinator

Genevieve has been with the office since 2001. As a treatment co-coordinator, she enjoys working with new patients and taking them through the preliminary decision-making steps and helping them understand orthodontic treatment. Her goal is to make the whole orthodontic experience a pleasurable one. Genevieve is married and has a son. Running, pilates, cooking, and entertaining friends are her passions.

Kristine

Treatment Coordinator

Kristine is enjoying working with new patients and learning all about orthodontics. She is a recent graduate from UBC Okanagan and has a Bachelor’s degree in anthropology and history. Her hobbies include running, golfing, traveling, and going to the gym. In the New Year, Kristine ran a half marathon. She is currently planning a trip to Thailand.

Doreen

Office Manager/Treatment Coordinator

Doreen has been with our office for over 20 years. Doreen grew up in Kelowna and had braces as an adult. She lives on acreage with her husband, and she has three grown children and four grandsons. In her spare time, Doreen enjoys running, quilting, and Sudoku. Her favorite part of her job is discussing orthodontic treatment with patients, and she enjoys learning about orthodontic possibilities and procedures. She also enjoys the view from the windows as well as the pleasant atmosphere created by the staff and doctors.

Wendy

Orthodontic Assistant/Scheduling Coordinator

As an assistant and as a scheduling coordinator, Wendy enjoys the variety that her job offers. She enjoys working with patients and getting to know all of the families as well. Wendy has been with Dr. Allan and Dr. Mulgrew's office for almost twenty years. Before Wendy joined the office, she worked as a vet tech. She is very happy that now her patients don't bite!!! She has two teenage girls that keep her very busy with sporting events and activities. Wendy's hobbies include gardening, decorating, and skiing.

Phyllis

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Bringing with her over twenty years of experience in the dental field, Phyllis has been with our practice since 1984. Her favorite thing about orthodontics is working with patients and helping give them a great smile. Phyllis enjoys traveling, landscape design, reading, and enjoying a good Americano. With her husband and one son, she likes to ski and keep fit.

Cheryl

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

For over four years, Cheryl has graced us with her fun and bubbly personality at work. When Cheryl is not at work, she enjoys spending all of her time with her husband and two children. She is a nerd at heart but wants everyone to know that she plans on doing some extreme sports, such as skydiving, in the near future. Her interests include crochet, fashion, music, decorating, and reading.

Jennifer

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Jennifer joined our team 19 years ago and enjoys working with people of all ages. Jennifer is married with two children and enjoys all of the outdoor sports like skiing, running, and anything in the water! Jennifer is one of the very few people who was born and raised in Kelowna, and she claims to have seen the mysterious Ogopogo!!!

Brenda

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Brenda has been with Dr. Allan and Dr. Mulgrew's office for over 14 years. Her favorite thing about practicing orthodontics is the satisfaction of patients when they see their "before" and "after" pictures, knowing that she is creating beautiful smiles. The staff appreciates her wonderful baked goods that she brings to the office regularly. Brenda's greatest thrills are rollercoasters. Away from the office, you can see Brenda sipping on a Tim Horton's tea and going for walk with her husband.

Michelle

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

For over four years, Michelle has been helping people improve their self-esteem by creating beautiful smiles. A few years ago, Michelle and her husband traveled to Cambodia to volunteer in an orphanage. She has two children and is active in her church activities. She also enjoys photography, travel, and garage sales.

Kim

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Kim has worked in the dental and orthodontic field for over ten years. She likes working with patients and enjoys talking to the teenagers to find out all the latest news and trends. Away from the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband. Together, they enjoy skiing at Big White, jumping on their trampoline, and taking holidays on the beach.

Amber

Certified Orthodontic Assistant

Full of energy and enthusiasm, Amber enjoys interacting with the staff and patients. Amber takes part in many sports and house renovations, and she loves traveling and photography. She is married and has a one-year-old son. Amber lived and taught English in Tokyo, Japan, for over two years.

Dariel

Orthodontic Lab Technician

Dariel has been hard at work in our lab making your retainers and appliances for over five years. She enjoys her job and enjoys seeing the finished product. She is eager to give out advice for stretching out aches and pains, as she is also a yoga instructor. Dariel is married with two children and enjoys traveling.

Carrol

Laboratory Assistant

Carrol enjoys the view from her lab window and has been with the office for over four years. In the lab, she also makes the retainers and appliances. She lives with her husband, and though her two daughters have moved out, she now has two cats! Carrol enjoys running and flower arranging.

Kendra

Office Assistant

Kendra has been working as our "after school" girl for two years. She helps out the administrative staff and enjoys helping out in whichever way needed. She also enjoys snowboarding, dancing, shopping, and boating. She boasts that she is much better at wakeboarding than her Dad.
